Hot and humid weather returns to Karachi, other parts of Sindh

KARACHI: The hot and humid weather has returned to Karachi as the met office on Saturday forecast increase in temperature in the city during next 24 hours, ARY News reported.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) a hot spell of weather will continue in the city with minimum temperature at 24 degree Celsius today, while the mercury could rise to maximum temperature of 38 degree Celsius, according to the met office.

The humidity will remain between 70-80 % in the morning, which will be 40 to 50% in the evening today. According to the weather department presently the level of humidity in the city recorded at 66%.

The wind direction in Karachi has changed with the changing weather pattern. According to the met office the wind direction has changed from northeastern to westerly and southwesterly today.

While, the wind speed was recorded at six nautical miles per hour, according to the weather department.

The PMD in a report yesterday predicted dry weather in most parts of the country on Friday and Saturday, while hot weather in Sindh and South Punjab.

A rapid change in temperatures in a few days has transformed the cold and dry weather into hot days of summer in Karachi and other parts of Sindh.
