Two inmates of Adiala jail die under mysterious circumstances


RAWALPINDI: Two prisoners of Adiala Jail died under mysterious circumstances, ARY News reported on Saturday.

According to the jail authorities, Basharat and Abbas, who were booked in a case related to drug peddling, were found dead in their barracks. The exact cause of their death will be ascertained in the post-morterm.

The bodies will be handed over to their heirs upon completion of legal formalities.

Last year in December, an inmate had died of cardiac arrest in his cell in Adiala Jail. The dead body of the deceased was shifted to jail hospital where he was identified as Tahir Jalil, son of Abdul Jalil, resident of Hazro.

Tahir Jalil died after suffering from heart attack in cell number 2, where was detained in a case registered by the Federal Investigation Agency with regard to human trafficking.
