Captain of Northern team Umar Amin has been fined Rs 16,000 for maintaining a slow over-rate against Balochistan during Quaid-e-Azam trophy on Tuesday.

Match referee Iqbal Sheikh imposed the fine after Northern side was ruled to be two over short of the required over-rate in Balochistan’s second innings.

The round four first-class match between Balochistan and Northern was played at the KRL Stadium in Rawalpindi, which was declared a draw after Imran Butt and Imran Farhat saved the day for Balochistan.

Balochistan are currently standing at fifth spot with 34 points while Northern are at the bottom of the table with 32 points.
